Spicy Summer Grilling with Wiri Fire Hot Sauce - Wiri Fire Grilled Mango Chicken Skewers

Spicy Summer Grilling These juicy chicken skewers are sweet, smoky, and spicy — a perfect reflection of summer on a stick.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 tbsp Wiri Fire Hot Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if wooden, soak in water for 30 mins)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together Wiri Fire Hot Sauce, olive oil, honey, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Toss chicken chunks in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (up to 4).
  3. Thread chicken, mango, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers.
  4. Grill over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred, about 10–12 minutes.
  5. Serve with extra Wiri Fire Hot Sauce for dipping and a cold drink in hand!

Pro Tip: For a vegetarian version, swap chicken for halloumi or firm tofu.
