Winter Meals with Wiri Fire Sweet Potato & Black Bean Chili

Wiri Fire Sweet Potato & Black Bean Chili

Ingredients (Serves 6):

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and diced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp Wiri Fire Hot Sauce (more to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: avocado slices, sour cream, fresh cilantro

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add garlic, sweet potato, cumin, and paprika. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, black beans, broth, and Wiri Fire Hot Sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cover and cook for 20–25 minutes, until sweet potatoes are tender.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning or hot sauce as needed. Serve hot with desired toppings.

Pair With:
Buttery cornbread, a warm apple cider (spiked if you like), and fuzzy socks by the fireplace.
